Sede
The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine is located in Lodi on via dell’Università 6.
It consists of a central educational building, a University Veterinary Hospital and an experimental zootechnical centre.
How to reach us
The city of Lodi is easily accessible by train from the cities of Milan (a major interchange for numerous routes), Piacenza, Cremona, and Mantua.
It is also served by the S1 line (Saronno–Lodi) of the suburban railway network.
The bus terminal is near the train station, and shuttle buses on line 4.
The Lodi Teaching Centre has 23 classrooms:
- 4 are located at the Veterinary Teaching Hospital;
- 19 are located in the main building.
The Teaching Centre of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Lodi has two IT laboratories offering 38 and 35 workstations respectively.

Access to Workstations
To use the computers in the laboratories, all users (students, teaching staff, technical/administrative staff, etc.) must register using the automatic registration procedure.
The facility includes:
- 12 laboratories;
- an Osteotheque, where students can independently study individually or in groups using skeletal structures and models of various animals;
- a Skills Lab, a simulation laboratory for training in clinical practices, where students can practise independently, develop practical skills, and self-assess their competencies.
In both the osteotheque and the skills lab, students can also consult 3D anatomical atlases of animals’ species of veterinary interest.

The Library of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine aims to promote knowledge by providing free access to scientific information for study and research purposes.
Founded in 1808 as the Library of the Higher School of Veterinary Medicine, it is a specialised library,
The entire bibliographic collection consists of around 63,000 volumes, including 20,000 monographs, rare books, and theses, and 1,000 journal titles, 220 of which are active subscriptions.
The library also houses the Historical Archive of the Higher School of Veterinary Medicine of Milan.
The Rare Books Collection includes volumes published before 1830 and consists of around 600 works. Of these, 200 are related to veterinary medicine, and the rest cover medicine, pharmacy, biology, and the natural sciences.
Journals subscriptions include all the major publications in the fields of veterinary and biomedical sciences, many of which are available electronically. These are complemented by holdings from related libraries and by the University’s licensing agreements with publishers.
The library is open to all, and most of the collections are available on open shelves.
There are 248 reading seats, 5 computer stations for accessing the University’s catalogue, and 4 UniCloud terminals. All areas are covered by Wi-Fi.
The library supports research, teaching, and study activities.
