Graduating
The single-cycle master’s degree programme concludes with a thesis discussion and provides two options for the graduation application:
- a graduation application without qualification for professional practice
- a graduation application that qualifies for professional practice upon passing a practical exam
Transition to the qualifying degree programme
Students enrolled in the single-cycle master’s degree program in Veterinary Medicine (Class LM-42) under the previous non-qualifying curriculum (enrolled up to the 2022–23 academic year) may choose to transition to the new qualifying programme.
This option must be exercised at the time of registration for the practical evaluation exam and is irrevocable.
The qualifying degree cannot be obtained under programmes preceding the reform of Ministerial Decree 270/2004.
Submission of record book and graduation session date
Within the deadlines indicated for each session, students must submit their internship record book to the Academic Services of Veterinary Medicine at the Lodi campus.
Candidates will receive an email with the indication of the graduation session date.
The thesis summary must be equivalent to one A4 page, saved in PDF/A format and uploaded to the Thesis Summary – Veterinary Medicine website, which can be accessed using university credentials.
The thesis must be submitted in digital format (PDF/A) be the deadlines set for each session/exam period, by accessing Unimia > SIFA Online Services > Student Services > Degree Application > Thesis Upload.
Failure to upload the thesis within the established deadlines will result in exclusion from the graduation session.
To create a PDF/A file starting from a Word or LibreOffice document, follow the instructions provided in the dedicated video tutorial.
Three sessions are planned each year for students to take their final degree exams:
