Student-Selected Educational Activities

In the fifth year of the course, integrated courses (each worth 8 ECTS credits) are offered, aiming to deepen knowledge in specific areas of Veterinary Medicine.

These courses are organised into modules and approved annually by the Veterinary Medicine Academic Board. Students are free to choose from all the courses offered by the university that are consistent with the educational objectives of the degree course.

Access criteria

Only students enrolled in the fifth year who have passed all third-year exams of may register for student-selected educational activities.

Students will receive an email from the Academic Services and must reply to indicate their choices to create a ranking list.

The ranking will consider:

  1. the number of exams passed (by the date indicated in the email sent by the teaching office);
  2. the weighted average of grades obtained in the exams taken (UNIMIA);
  3. the year of enrolment/registration at UNIMI – Veterinary Medicine, assigning a maximum score of 10 to students currently enrolled in the fifth year, other scores decrease progressively (1 point for each year).

Note:

For students enrolled in the fifth year following recognition of a Veterinary Medicine degree obtained in a third country, the ranking will consider only points 1) and 2).

For students enrolled in the fifth year within internationalisation programmes, the ranking will consider only points 1) and 2).
